As any American readers should know, Memorial Day Weekend has just passed! And while most people spend it at the beach, our nation’s capital is another popular spot to spend a day or afternoon!

And while Washington D.C. has countless attractions with free entry, including any museum under the Smithsonian, I thought I’d narrow my post today down to five meaningful places that can be visited in a single afternoon! So without furthur ado, here we go!
